As Halloween approaches I have taken up the task of teaching kids how to make their own Halloween costumes at the S’more Studio. There are eight to ten courses in one program for the kids that are eight and up. They will be learning basic hand sewing and as well learn how to use a sewing machine to make their own costumes.
Some people think “it’s so cheap to buy a costume,why bother to make one.”
A lot of skills like concentration, dedication and creativity are helping kids to complete even a simple looking costume. The experience of learning how to solve problems from the beginning to the end of costume making is a treasure for kids as they will soon develop a strong technical ability in the craft.
